Hola! Here’s my latest shillings in mostly chronological fashion. First up is a business card touch-up / redraw commission.

Some snazzy grim reaper dude
And another one for my buddy Adam. Partial original, partial redraw of existing assets. If you need a racket re-stringed 👇 he’s your man.

He’ll string you up! with his fantastic prices?
I have a gazillion screenshots saved from the third Sonic movie that I want to do as redraws because it’s such a gorgeous movie. Here’s a timelapse of my second one. It’s helping acclimatise me to clip studio paint.

“It is done”
Now heres a big one! Episode 23 of Legend Of Fail!
Lost a big chunk of webcam footage, but considering what we look like, its no great loss 🤡
The focus with the openings is to make something as funny as possible. It’s a the best direction considering the tone of the show. No need to create anything dramatic or cool.
Ffffffuck I wish I could have gone back in time and named it something different. How was I to know I would still somehow be friends with Faisal Blue Link after all this time.
Another commission! My good pal Billy wanted a album cover made up. Here’s the batch of original mock ups and concepts.

Very Metallica the Black album.

Physical goods! A rarity with me normally.
With the power of cheap Amazon jewel cases I was able to become a distributor of sorts. I learned about slip case insert dimensions and produced some CD’s for him. We were both quite chuffed with them.
Heres his Bandcamp page. Give his tunes a listen!
He’s got a Youtube page aswell.
It’s been quite a length of time since the last blog post, so I’m already able to talk about his second follow up release! Here’s the bundle of concepts. The initial prompt being Anger & Frustration.

He ended up veering toward to dark blue metallic object one. So we finessed it into something more grandiose.

Hits the mark?
It’s early days yet, so no track listing or uploaded songs yet. Next blog post!
My Kiltwalk progress is, progressing. All four pages are slowly inching toward their respective goals. (£250 each for a grand total of a grand).
The Glasgow one was the furthest I’ve ever walked in my whole life. The path was affa bonnie.

Deffo going with a lightweight Kilt next time instead of an actual Kilt. Every gram of weight counts over such distance.
I’ve gotten back into spritework in a big way. I discovered a site called Lospec which specialises in (you guessed it) low specification artwork. Not just 2D but low-poly art which is really cool.
Here’s my efforts thus far, grouped by type.

Random misc warmup art. Tempted to redesign my Bit Cops Cop, but I’m still fond of the Tixel alien.

Fanart. Kvothe, Ristar & Sonic.

Giftarts! Mum, Dad and all my friends characters. I’m really enjoying working with limited palettes.

And what you see in this big batch is what Lospec calls “Dailies“.
Dailies are a challenge prompt everyday to draw something with a single prompted word and specific colour palette. The Palettes can be extremely minimal or very varied, and the prompts aren’t enforced or strict so as you can see I’ve been quite creative with my output. See if you can guess what any of these are spawned from.
And we’ve reached the end. I am very close to having the next Legend Of Fail animation completed. The spritework will definitely continue, 2 more Kiltwalks to go and I’m hoping to get into low-poly art with the power of Crocotile 3D. Wish me luck!
