Hello! slim post incoming. I did some massive redecorating and reshuffling of my office so not too much to show this time.

Before my computer went into hibernation, I participated in a gamejam! It wasn’t Ludumdare this time, it was an event humorously called “Mini Jame Gam #44” A series of weekend long jams that happen a few times every year.

I teamed up with a very skilled programmer Owen and we had an absolute blast participating. Normally I would be going for every single Jam I could get my hands on, but programmers are golddust like shiny Pokémon. And convincing others to sacrifice a whole weekend chained to thier desks is a big ask understandably. So this is the only one I’ll get done this year.

The event ended up having 109 entries and we actually fared quite well in the rankings.

Here’s a big asset dump. I had a laugh putting together the tutorial. Everything’s one big joke with me.

So being that my computer was out of commision for a bit, I focused on my Kiltwalk training. Last time I blogged I had recently managed the Aberdeen Kiltwalk. I’ve since completed the Dundee 2025 one 💪

It’s been the easiest one yet, which makes considering how many of them we’ve managed now. Me & Adam are going to attempt all four of them next year (famous last words).

The Kiltwalks may be over, but the fundraising certainly isnt. Our yearly family BBQ event got turned into a charity BBQ at my behest.

We kindly received £350 in donations on the day. Bringing the current totals up to.

And in a final bid to make sure we crack an even grand, I’m going to ask everyone come my birthday in November to donate to the SCAA instead of buying me anything. I expect my declaration of sainthood shortly thereafter 👼.

So as for upcoming projects, legend of fail has fallen by the wayside (got two episodes to edit and openings to animate), still got tons of Kramer & Shadow screenshots to redraw, but most urgently is a jumbo commission from a co-worker of mine which will likely keep me busy up until the end of the year.

I do have ambitious plans for Halloween too. I’m going to make the most of my Robotnik cosplay outfit and set up spooky decorations in the front yard, involving a smoke & a light machine and egg themed sweets (think a metallic robot bowl filled with nothing but gummy eggs, creme eggs and mini eggs).
